Our Lady of Sorrows

 

Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for us.

According to mycatholiclife.com, sorrow is not the same as sadness. Sadness is usually a selfish feeling, whereas sorrow is in our ability to mourn with others. Sorrow is a Beatitude and those who mourn are promised comfort. Blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted. Matthew 5:4

Our Lady knows sorrow. Ask her to help you in sorrowful times. And if you are feeling sad, ask her to help you overcome sadness through the joy of the Lord.
